Four Arab American Women Who Are Making History During Women’s History Month: Farah Merhi

For Women’s History Month, our Workforce Development Committee has interviewed 4 Arab American Women, and for each #WorkforceWednesday in March, we will share them with you!

Today we highlight Farah Merhi, the owner and founder of InspireMe! Home Decor.

Farah Merhi is a Lebanese-American entrepreneur and influencer who has taken the interior design world by storm with her signature style and inspiring message of empowerment. Farah was born in Lebanon but moved to Michigan with her family as a young girl. As she grew up, she became increasingly interested in interior design and began sharing her passion with others through social media. In 2014, she launched her blog, Inspire Me! Home Decor, to share her design tips and ideas with a broader audience.

What started as a small blog quickly grew into a thriving business. Today, Farah has over 6 million followers on Instagram, and her brand has expanded to include a furniture line, a home decor collection, and multiple best-selling books.

One of the things that sets Farah apart from other influencers and designers is her commitment to empowering women. She has been vocal about the challenges she faced as an Arab American woman in a predominantly male-dominated field and has made it her mission to help women overcome those same obstacles.

Farah’s success is a testament to her talent and hard work, but it also reflects the power of representation. By being unapologetically herself and sharing her unique perspective with the world, she has inspired countless women to pursue their passions and dream big.

In a world where women, especially Arab American women, are still underrepresented in many industries, Farah’s story is a reminder that with hard work, dedication, and a little bit of inspiration, anything is possible.

Thank you, Farah, for speaking with AAWBC and the Workforce Development Committee!
