Our Mission

Our mission is to support and guide Arab American Women professionals in the workforce, regardless of field or level, to achieve success through workshops, actionable resources, mentorship, and professional and leadership development opportunities. 

Our committee works to cater to the professional and entrepreneurial community of Arab American Women in the Southeast Michigan community. We do this by putting together workshops on leadership development, economic development, and providing resources.

Some of the past events and workshops that we have held to support our community of members are but not limited to:

Small Business Emergency Funding  

Buying and Selling Real Estate.

Influence without Authority

Event held to help with the ability to make others act, behave or think without actually having authority over them.

Workplace Discrimination

Dealing with and addressing discrimination in the workplace

Book Club

Books are chosen on topics that are relevant to women’s success in the workplace with a great discussion to follow. 

Vision Board Event

Setting up your professional and personal goals for the year ahead 

Iraqi Youth Leadership Program

This was an international grant that was awarded to AAWBC that this committee supported through offering classes on leadership and language. While our other committees took the lead in preparing the agenda for the rest of their time here in the States.

Event held to help women learn how to network and build connections that are meaningful

Event held with panelists that are experts in mental health and wellness to educate women on how to stay focused and not burnout
