Detroit – The Arab American Women’s Business Council will hold its 9th Annual Networking Breakfast on Thursday, November 5, from 8 to 10 a.m. at Byblos Banquets in Dearborn. Highlights of the event include keynote speaker Theresa Ghafari, president and CEO of GTECH Services, college scholarships to Arab American women and the 2015 Arab American Business Woman of the Year Laila Alhusinni, founder and journalist, U.S. Chaam Media and U.S. Arab Radio.
DEARBORN, MI, May 15, 2015 – The Arab American Women’s Business Council (AAWBC) is accepting scholarship applications from Arab American female college students and high school students in Michigan who have been accepted to college. The deadline is October 23, 2015. Since the program began in 2008, the AAWBC has provided more than $20,000 in scholarships to young Arab American women studying a variety of subjects to assist them in advancing their education.
DEARBORN, MI, March 23, 2015 – The Arab American Women’s Business Council (AAWBC), founded in 2007 as a 501c3 nonprofit professional organization, elected Renée Ahee as its first chief executive officer, effective March 15, 2015. Ahee is a co-founder of the organization, whose
mission is to bring together Arab American business women of diverse disciplines and industries and to provide opportunities for them to grow professionally and to grow their business through leadership, education, scholarship, internship and cultural programs. She has been a member of the board of directors since its inception.
